The One Glam Bag You Should Actually Get – Beauty on a Budget

Over the years I have tried many of them, from Luxe Box to Petit Vour, Lip Monthly and Top Box. There is certainly no shortage of options for glam bag subscriptions out there. But how to know which one you should choose in that sea of available cosmetics to try?

Personally, after all the trials and errors, I find that IPSY gives me the best value for my buck.

Glam bags are a type of subscription boxes containing cosmetics such as makeup and skin products, among other stuff. While some subscription boxes contain workout gear, coffee or fresh produce, glam bags contain cosmetics. They are basically a bunch of cosmetics delivered to your home once of month for which you pay a stable monthly fee. And those fees reeeally vary according to the box!

Subscription products are great for these types of products, because the you can really get the best value for your money, even on a budget. Without the need to market the products to customers, suppliers can sell the products to companies like IPSY at great discount prices, assuring you get the great beauty products for cheap in your glam bag every month. They get the product to you without hassle, and you get the best out of your hard-earned dough.

  • Why I Love Glam Bags

If I am being entirely honest, I love to try new products. Before I discovered glam bags, I definitely spent more than I would like to admit on beauty items. I truly enjoy playing with colours and creating various creative looks on the daily. Obviously, I also like to try new hairstyles in my hip-length hair and take care of my skin. Therefore, glam bags seemed like a good option for me: I would get my cosmetics fix without breaking the bank.

IPSY has been my favourite, along with Lip Monthly, for very long time (although I stopped getting the latter last year, after receiving too many similar colours in a row). My IPSY glam bag has the best value: not too expensive ($12USD/month, or between $15 and $20CAD) for five products and tools and its insides are actually useful.

You can select which types of products you want to receive in your user profile, assuring you only get products you will actually use. Even though I get the odd product I don’t love, I have created the most beautiful looks with many products I got from IPSY.

A while ago, they even started offering glam bundles and deals, which you can add to your monthly bag at not additional shipping fee. Because the suppliers maintain the no-marketing business strategy as they do with products in the glam bags, these cosmetics are available at very affordable prices as well!

My favourite part about IPSY is the budget-friendly option to skip months. Not only can you select the option to not receive your bundle if you want to received less products this month, but you can also select an option to receive your regular glam bag every other month, cuttting you fee in half, while still getting new products on your doorstep every once in a while.
