Paralives Is Finally Coming Out Soon!

It’s not a secret anymore, Montréal-based life-simulation game Paralives is coming out this year! The announcement was made this afternoon by Alex Massé, Paralives founder, in a public Patreon post. The official Early Relase date on Steam is December 8, 2025, so buckle up Inzoi and The Sims 4, a new competitor will be out soon, and by the sights of it, fans are eagerly waiting for a turn to play.

Official Trailer

If you’re not yet familiar with Paralives, Massé shared a snippet of the game in a new trailer.

If you’re excited to see your Parafolks live their lives to the fullest, the time is finally coming! I absolutely adore that trailer, because it not only shows the beautiful art style, the build mode and the various life stages, but I even spotted some queer representation in there!

Plus, let’s be honest, I’m excited to my Parafolks to be able to cry on the bathroom floor. How is that for a realistic life simulation game?

Early Access

Gamers familiar with indie games will know that Early Release is a wonderful way for indie game developers to obtain cashflow while they continue working on the product. Plus, it allows those same groups to adjust the features of the game per the players’ reviews. As Massé said in his post, their goal is “to provide a first enjoyable experience that has room to grow, so that [they] can collect feedback from players and improve the game.”

Priced at $39.99 in Early Release, it should be an enjoyable complete experience as is, though with free updates, but with no DLC planned to come out in the future. As someone who has been part of their Patreon for years now, I am definitely excitedr to get my hands on it!

If you’re curious about the features that will be available in the game as soon as December 8, 2025, Massé shared a list on the Patreon post.

The changes planned to come out during Early Access seem to be more extensive features, such as organizing events or pools (hum-hum, I wonder if we’ll be able to remove the stairs…). Though, I’m slightly disappointed in not being able to adopt a bunch of cats in the game on the first day of Early Release, but I have a feeling it’ll be worth waiting for!

Now, go and read Massé’s post if you want to know more and don’t forget to join their Patreon if you haven’t yet!

Note: I am NOT sponsored to write this post. I am legitimately just passionate about Paralives.
